Children's Acting Classes: Acting 1

Wednesdays, 4:30pm-5:30pm Ages: 4th-5th Grade
Develop clear and expressive physicality and vocal technique. Through improvisation and short scenes, use those skills to take risks, make strong character choices, develop character relationships, and pursue objective. We recommend students take this class more than once, as this training builds the foundation for many of our higher-level courses. |

OBOB Study Through Play

Thursdays, 4-5pm Ages: 3rd-5th Grade
Retain facts for the Oregon Battle Of the Books! By delving into research with the OBOB book, students learn an actor's craft of developing character. Through analysis of detail in the book, students write their own skits. Students are required to read the assigned book prior to class, and bring a copy of the OBOB book to class -- books are not provided. Sessions are two weeks per book, $30/session. |

Improv Fundamentals

Saturdays, 2-4pm Ages: Adults
Be like a kid again, if only for a couple of hours! In this series of classes, learn the basics of improvisation in a safe, supportive and fun environment. Through exercises and games, topics such as saying yes, collaboration, character status, and more will be covered. Students will also explore how improv skills can make you a better person. |
