Music Together Resonate presents a Holiday Sing-a-long for the entire family! Create music with instruments you can find in your kitchen! Materials Needed: You'll need a few things from your kitchen - bowl and spoon, ice tray, wooden spoons, kitchen towel, etc. Anything can be an instrument!
4:30pm - 5:25pm WORKSHOP Finding and Creating Art with Nature: "Snow Art" - $5
This family-friendly workshop is recommended for all kids ages 5 and older. Learn how art is integrated into our communities and create your own designs - including a nature garden to share with your community! Girl Scouts can earn badges by participating! Supplies needed: several sheets of plain white paper, 2 or 3 different colors of blue, white, or silver tissue paper, 4-12 popsicle sticks that can be colored, pom poms (white, silver, or blue), decorations (things like glitter, foil, beads, and other shiny things), string or ribbon, pencil, scissors, glue, silver or blue glitter, dry pasta of a variety of shapes, white, blue, or silver paper (3", 3.5", or 4.25" squares)

Use everyday at-home items easy-to find-craft supplies to create costumes for The Mitten, a Ukrainian Folktale, featuring a grandmother, grandson and forest animals. Enjoy a production of The Mitten, a Ukrainian Folktale as a performer or audience member. Individuals and families are invited to perform using costumes created during the workshop.
12pm - 12:55pm WORKSHOP "Snow Snack" - $5
This family-friendly workshop is recommended for all kids ages 5 and older. Create winter-themed snacks and desserts including Pretzel Snowflakes, Winter Cracker Sandwiches, and a Wintry-Scene Salad Plate. Girl Scouts can earn badges by participating! Join Beaverton Civic Theatre as we combine art and science to learn about the science of snowflakes, build our own folded paper puppets, explore how sound effects are used in theatre, and build our own story about How the Snowflake Found Its Purpose! Supply List: 3 pieces of construction paper - 1 white, 1 blue, and 1 red, scissors, glue stick or scotch tape, crayons/markers/colored pencils (Optional: cotton balls or color pom poms)
2pm MATH STORY TIME with the Beaverton City Library - FREE
Beaverton City Library presents a Math story time featuring the books, songs and math activities that families can do at home! If you would like to download the handout, you can find it here. It is not necessary to print to enjoy the session.
3:00pm - 3:55pm WORKSHOP "Snow Adventure" - $5
This family-friendly workshop is recommended for all kids ages 5 and older. Learn how to plan your own outdoor adventure, tell your adventure story, and then get excited to go out and explore on your own! Girl Scouts can earn badges by participating! Daisy, Brownie, and Junior Girl Scouts attending will complete most requirements for the Snow Badge or Climbing Adventure Badge. Go on your outdoor adventure to complete the final badge requirement.
