According to multiple research studies there is a direct correlation between seeing a dramatization and a child's ability to comprehend the text and understand content. Inspired by these findings, Beaverton Civic Theatre works with funding partners to bring school outreach programming that supports early literacy through play and exploration to local schools at no charge. we feature lobby activities at our Young Audience Series that provide the opportunity to interact with the five literacy practices - Read, Write, Sing, Play, and Talk - in connection with the production on stage.
