Sheridan Whiteside, having dined at the home of the Stanleys, slips on their doorstep, breaking his hip and a tumultuous six weeks of confinement follow while he recovers leading up to the Christmas holiday. But the the family soon becomes over run by ex-convicts invited to meals, transatlantic calls with a $784 phone bill, and the arrival of strange gifts – all sourcing from their invalid guest. There are plenty of laughs to be had in this Kaufman & Moss American classic!
